Coverage Conditions
The health insurance only covers the cost of determining the 25-OH Vitamin D level under specific conditions, including:

Conditions or Suspected Conditions:

  • Increased fracture risk in patients aged 65 and older
  • Non-traumatic fractures
  • Unexplained falls in patients aged 65 and older
  • Osteomalacia, rickets
  • Osteopenia
  • Osteoporosis

Vitamin D Metabolism or Absorption Disorders:

  • Kidney diseases, including urolithiasis
  • Disorders related to parathyroid hormone, calcium, and/or phosphate levels
  • Gastrointestinal diseases
  • Malabsorption syndromes
  • Liver diseases
  • Medication affecting Vitamin D metabolism or absorption

Follow-Up Checks:
Follow-up checks for the above conditions are covered once every three months.

Note:
For each request (phone, electronic, or written), it is mandatory to specify the fulfillment of the above criteria.
If you have any questions or need a Vitamin D level check, please ask to determine eligibility for coverage.

What is a Coil Fitting?
A coil, also known as an intrauterine device (IUD), is a small, T-shaped contraceptive device that is inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy.

What is included in the price of the IUD insertion?
Material: IUD, insertion by a specialist, two ultrasound examinations
All additional consultations and examinations will be charged separately.

On the Day of Fitting

  • Preparation: A thorough consultation will be held to discuss your medical history and suitability for a coil.
  • Procedure: The coil is carefully inserted into the uterus by Dr. Wagner.
  • Ultrasound Check: To ensure accurate placement, an ultrasound will be performed immediately after fitting.

How We Ensure Correct Fitting
We use state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to confirm that the coil is correctly positioned. This helps in reducing the risks associated with incorrect placement, such as discomfort or ineffective contraception.

Possible Complications

  • Slippage: While the coil is usually stable, it may slip or move in the weeks or months after fitting. Additional birth control for 6 weeks after fitting should be used until the position is checked.
  • Reason: This slippage can occur due to contractions before or during menstruation.

Free Removal
If the coil does slip, we offer a free removal service. You will not be charged for the removal procedure in this instance.

Replacement Coil Costs
If you wish to have a new coil inserted after removal, the cost of the new coil and its insertion will be charged in full.
